It’s time for another monthly round-up!
I had the honor of getting to go with a group of friends to Gen Con this year. It was such a blast getting to meet so many of my internet friends as well as talking to some of the bigger influencers’ in the board gaming industry. One of my friends, T. R. Knight, wrote a wonderful blog post about his experiences at Gen Con that I think is worth checking out.
While there I got to learn a lot of tips to help me with my New Years resolution, and honestly that made the convention for me. (I compiled some of the bigger tips together in a blog post if you would like to learn more.) So many sweet people went out of their way to talk to me and share their stories about board gaming. This is one of the many reasons that makes Gen Con so great to me is how many wonderful people come together because of a hobby.
Instead of going to my home in Texas after the convention ended, I went straight to my hometown where my wedding is going to be held at to finish up the last of the to-do list. My parents were sweet enough to let me borrow their desktop to write many of the posts this month on here and Boards & Crafts. In between writing and working on the crafts for my wedding, I was able to work on some rough sketches of my new character for a D&D campaign that is going to start after the wedding. If you have any recommendations on how a kindhearted noblewoman would act, I would greatly appreciate the reference for when I roleplay her!
As I mentioned in my post about my laptop breaking, I have started the process of transferring my old crafts from this site over to Boards & Crafts. I think for now I’ll try posting this as a “Throwback Thursday” series until they are all transferred over. Never fear though, new content is still being created over there! This month a new series about casual cosplay for board games was started with going through the Clue crew.
That’s pretty much all that I’ve been up to that I can tell you about at the moment. However, if you would like to keep up with my daily shenanigans, I highly suggest you check out my Instagram account. A lot of art and work in progresses get posted there that never reach it to this site. For example:
Anyways, thank you so much for joining me at the transition of a new month. As the seasons change, I hope this next month gives you positive changes to your life as well.
