If I had to describe myself in one sentence I would say I’m a biologist, artist, geek, and coffee lover from Kentucky who now lives in Texas.
My love for most the things mentioned above began at a young age. My mom would create arts and crafts to sell at festivals. I became fascinated with crafting and the community around it from watching and eventually joining her at these events. In the evenings of my childhood my parents would teach me my love of learning, especially for storytelling and scientific concepts. When I got older, I began to use crafting and drawing as a way to help relax as I followed my love of science and acquired a B.S. Degree in Biology. This was also when I realized that I love the taste of coffee (which also could have come from watching Gilmore Girls as a kid).
My fascination for science and art grew over the years and led to the creation of this blog, ArtsyRobotz. A place where I share my latest fascinations in geek culture and my everyday life. I realized though that my love of learning expanded beyond this and soon created Boards & Crafts and Something Called Science. (Though both are a work in progress.)

Here are a few guest posts I had the honor of creating!
The posts written in my journal are inspired by my experiences and I hope what I learned from them may help you as they have helped me. I understand that not all of my opinions will be shared by everyone who reads them. I only hope that we can learn from each other’s experiences.
