My job is awesome. I get to be a bear that goes to events and blows balloon creatures. Life is awesome. Until I went into work today.
“I’m fired?”
“How many times must I say it? You’re not fired, just moved to a new position. You’re job is being filled with someone more…qualified.”
“But I was great at this job. The best!”
“You’ve been working this job for five years, and was the best. But it’s time for you to move on.”
“But…what am I going to do now?”
“You’ll get the email later. Don’t worry about it.”
Anytime a manager says something like that, it’s never good. So yeah, that was my morning. At least how I remember it. I love being an entertainer! Bringing happy thoughts to people is the reason I wake up in the morning. Now, now it’s going to be taken away. Oh diary, what am I going to do?
Hey diary, I finally checked my email. Looks like my acting career is over. Seems that they are bringing in some animatronics to take my place. Now I get the choice of being a night guard or quiting. How rude is that? They think an animatronic will be a better entertainer than me? Man…it just sucks. I don’t know if I want to keep a job here now. Besides, the animatronics creep me out. Maybe I should find an acting troup to join… I wonder if there are any around here? You know what they say diary, when one door closes, another one opens. Wish me luck diary.
