Creating Sterling Allion

Hello!

Some might remember that a few weeks ago I started a new pet project. It was a fundraiser to help raise some money for my gaming group to be able to get the latest book for our D&D group. As soon as I mentioned the idea, a friend of mine literally slapped money of the table to be the first in line for getting a drawing of his character.

I designed it to be similar to my drawing of Alchior, and used the description Sterling’s creator gave me to create what you see above. I also tried a new tactic for shading. What do you think? Personally I think I need to work on making the shading a little darker. Maybe I’ll try it with the next character.

On that note, if anyone would like to know how I do any of my drawings, like how I create my outlines, coloring, shading, etc. like me know in the comments below. I’m thinking of creating some blog posts about this stuff, but don’t know where I want to start.
