Hi! How is everyone doing today?
I had the opportunity to do a Telestration collaboration project with Andy Jewett. Which, on the side note, you should check his website out if you ever get a chance. This guy is fantastic, and made it such a treat to work on this project.
Anyways, after a couple of e-mails we finally decided to go with the phrase “Cursed Dice” and let our imaginations just run with it. Andy almost immediately completed his side of the project, and even got his piece on the most recent Board Game Blender!
I mean, look at that! It’s gorgeous!
My piece, however, well took a little longer to complete. Like, I just finished it and I’m typing this blog post as quick as I can so that I can keep somewhat of a schedule on here. Which seems to not happen often, but the only way to fix that is to keep trying!
I got to try a new style of drawing, and even got to practice using speech bubbles! It’s amazing how much works goes into making sure the picture you draw is seen while still letting the speech flow through the piece and not blocking important parts of the drawing.
In the end, I’m really happy that Andy was willing to do a collaboration like this with me! It was really fun to do this project, and I hope that I get the opportunity to work on similar projects in the future!
